Cars in Germany's City Discovered Marked with Swastikas in Blood, Law Enforcement State

Police mentioned they were notified by a man who noticed a automobile in Hanau marked with reddish substance

Approximately 50 vehicles have been smeared with what seems to be blood from a person in the Germany's municipality of Hanau in proximity to Frankfurt, according to authorities.

Automobiles, exterior walls and postal boxes were defaced, occasionally with prohibited symbols, they announced in a release.

Law enforcement report they were notified late on Wednesday, when a man observed that a automobile in the Lamboy neighborhood of Hanau had been marked with a reddish-hued substance.

The fluid had been drawn in the shape of a banned symbol, they stated.

Law enforcement then discovered multiple other vandalized cars and residential walls in the adjacent neighborhood.

These symbols are illegal in Germany under laws banning the public exhibition of Nazi symbols.

Law enforcement state preliminary tests show the fluid was probably human blood.

"At present there remains no indication as to where it came from; investigators are not yet informed of any physical harm in relation with the incident," they commented.

Local authorities announced they were working "to resolve the incident" and have requested to the residents for information.

A senior political figure commented the vandalism rendered him without words and had to be resolved quickly.

"This event hits the very heart of Hanau and revives the trauma of the extremist terrorist attack five years ago," he stated on a platform, recalling the death of nine victims by a shooter focusing on residents of foreign heritage in February 2020.
